UNESCO and Juventus football club launched in November a report on measures to fight racism and discrimination in international football, entitled Colour? What Colour? The Report takes stock of what has been done and is being done against racism and discrimination in sport. It examines ways to assess measures undertaken, envisages complementary actions, and offers best practices. In her foreword to the Report, Irina Bokova declares that sport provides a unique platform to promote the values of intercultural dialogue, as well as gender equality, while reinforcing social inclusion. However Ms. Bokova deplores that sport can also be exploited to divide and discriminate. The Report is the fruit of researches and surveys involving an international team of experts, researchers, football managers and officials.
